Join Maine Sea Services on a relaxing, unforgettable cruise in Casco Bay. Come visit Basket Island Oyster Company to experience a fully functioning oyster farm. Climb aboard the Violet Frances, skippered by Captain Steve, and enjoy the cruise through the Royal River out to the farm site. You can climb aboard their work barge to directly participate in the action, or sit back and take in the beautiful rocky Maine coastline. Bring along your favorite beverage, and we will supply the freshest oysters you’ll ever have the pleasure to eat!
Each farm tour lasts roughly two hours, and are offered Thursday and Friday at 9:00am, or 12:00pm. All tours depart from the Royal River Grill House in Yarmouth, Maine, with plenty of free parking on-site.
You will have the option to purchase any additional oysters at wholesale price right at the Farm. Bring a small cooler.
